(WMC-TV) - Police in Marion, Arkansas are searching for two possible child abductors, after a woman reported a couple tried to lure her children into their van with the promise of candy.

"I've been mad and felt violated," Emily McGehee said. "You feel sick."

According to McGehee, the incident happened around 7:00 p.m. Monday in the River Trace Subdivision in Marion.  McGehee said her daughter, age 7, was riding her bike near the intersection of Apperson Cove and River Trace when a man and a woman approached her.

"A dark haired man and a woman with gray hair," McGehee said. "That's not something people of that age do to children without ill intent."

McGehee said the couple was driving a red or Maroon van, possibly a Dodge Caravan, and asked her daughter if she wanted some candy. Then, they invited the child to go with them to their home to play.

The little girl got scared and rode her bike home, telling her mother what happened.

"I hope this doesn't haunt her for many years to come," McGehee said. "Right now, she's okay."

McGehee immediately logged onto Facebook so she could notify other neighbors.

"These people are still out there, and even if we catch them, there is another set of them somewhere doing the same thing. This happens all over the country everyday," she said.

If you have information about the incident contact Marion police.
