LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Former President Bill Clinton is returning to the spot where he launched his White House bid 20 years ago for a reunion with his former advisers, supporters and friends.
Clinton planned to speak Saturday at an event outside the Old State House Museum in downtown Little Rock commemorating his 1991 announcement that he was running for president. The former two-term president and his wife, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, are in town for a weekend of events marking the occasion.
The event's program includes a video tribute to the Hope native and former Arkansas governor, and a performance by the band Chicago. Clinton on Friday kicked off the anniversary weekend by dedicating a $10.5 million pedestrian bridge across the Arkansas River next to his presidential library.
