Two shot in LeMoyne-Owen area

(WMC-TV) - Memphis police are working a double shooting near LeMoyne-Owen College.

A 19-year-old and a 20-year-old are in critical condition after getting shot outside a LeMoyne-Owen College building.

People were inside the Dr. Willie Herenton Renaissance Center taking a class when the shooting happened at 8:15 p.m. Monday.  Witnesses told police they heard one shot followed by three shots.

The 19-year-old was shot once in the hip, and the 20-year-old was shot in his ribcage and hand.  The shooter was using a large caliber gun.

Police do not yet know the motive for the shooting, but investigators said the suspect and victims knew each other.

The people involved were not students.  Police are still looking for the shooter.
