(WMC-TV) - A 19-year-old was sentenced to life in prison this week after he was convicted of a deadly robbery the day after Christmas last year.
Anthony Williams and Anthony Randle were both leaving a convenience store in the 3000 block of Park Avenue when the crime took place. Williams, who was armed with a pistol, robbed the 20-year-old and fired three shots at close range.
Investigators say there were a handful of witnesses to the crime including several children. Police were able to identify Williams after interviewing those witnesses. The day before his 19th birthday, Williams was arrested for the crime at his home in Southeast Memphis.
Williams has already received a life sentence for murder. He'll be sentenced for aggravated robbery next month.
