(WMC-TV) - An arsonist set a vacant home on fire early Friday morning that sent one firefighter to the hospital with burns to his face and legs.
Fire crews responded to the call just after 2:30 a.m. and saw flames pouring from the single-story home in the 1200 block of South Prescott. The fire took just 30 minutes to get under control, but in that time one fireman suffered first and second degree burns. The fire department's spokesman says the injured man was treated at the Med and has already been released from the hospital.
The fire is estimated to have caused about $40,000 in damage.
No one is in custody for the crime.
