(WMC-TV) - A Whitehaven man is accused of setting fire to his girlfriend's home while she was inside taking a shower.

The Memphis Fire Department responded to the home in the 700 block of Baltimore in June. Crews saw smoke coming from the attic stairs and ultimately put out three separate fires.

The victim told officers that she had left the home after an argument with her boyfriend Robert Hamblin. However, Hamblin had phoned her and threatened to burn the house down if she didn't return. Fifteen minutes after she came home, she smelled smoke while taking a shower.

Hamblin, who arrested Monday, has been charged with domestic violence, arson and harassment. He's in jail on $75,000 bond.
