CHICAGO (WGN/CNN) - It was a wild finish for one runner Sunday in the Bank of America Chicago marathon.
Amber Miller crossed the finish line and hours later, gave birth to a baby girl.
Miller says she signed up for the race in February and only two days later found out she was pregnant.
"I think all along I wasn't real determined to run, and I kind of thought I would have already had the baby. And you know, it comes to the night before, I'm still pregnant and I paid for it, so I'm going to run it," Miller said.
Miller's doctor gave her permission to train and run in half of the marathon. She walked the other half and started to feel contractions at the end.
Mom and baby are reportedly doing well.
