(WMC-TV) - A Memphis man facing nearly a hundred charges for taking pictures of women in a tanning bed could be facing even more charges.
Daniel Wright is charged with more than 90 counts, accused of photographing unsuspecting women in various stages of undress while they tanned inside a Tan-N-Go on Houston-Levee at Macon road.
"He was arrested, but this story's not over yet," Shelby County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Chip Washington said Thursday.
Action News 5 first covered Wright's story in July, mere days after he was caught in the act. At the time, Tan-N-Go called the Sheriff's Office about suspicious iPhone activity. An incident report noted a man, "possibly taking digital pictures/video of other female customers."
Wright admitted he had, in the past, taken pictures and video of other females at the business. But a search of his phone revealed nothing obscene. In lieu of being cited or arrested, Wright was issued a verbal trespass warning.
The case fell dormant until recently.
"Some things re-developed, and the case was active again," Washington said.
According to investigators, when one of Wright's co-workers had to copy some work forms from his flash drive, he confided in her about a series of pictures he took of unsuspecting women at the Tan-N-Go.
Investigators are still documenting and reviewing those pictures.
"There's still a lot to look at right now, and he could be facing more charges down the road," Washington said.
Wright returns to court on November 10 to face three felony counts of aggravated sexual exploitation a minor - a 17-year-old tanning customer - and 91 misdemeanor counts of photographing persons without consent.
