Widow of man found in ravine talks about accident

(WMC-TV) – Chopper video confirmed Nora Walker's fears as she watched Action News 5 Wednesday night.

Her husband Ryan Walker would not be coming home.

"He was a good man, he loved his kids," recalled Walker Friday night.

She said she and her husband were married 11 years.

"It was not time for him to go," she said.

Police in Millington were alerted to the wreckage of Walker's car by workers at a nearby car dealership.  Investigators believe the car may have been upside down in a ravine off Highway 51 for nearly five days.  Walker was last seen Friday night leaving a local bar.

"I just knew something happened," said Nora Walker.  "Because he would never do that to us," she added.

Nora Walker reported her husband missing on Monday and was later officially informed of the accident by a detective.

"And he just went off the road and he died and he said didn't have time to suffer or anything," said Walker.

Nora and Ryan Walker met in Houston, moved to Memphis, and had five children.  They are now between the ages of five and 11.

"He tried to take care of them, tried to provide for them, and he was a very good dad to them," recalled Nora Walker.

Nora Walker's church family contacted us about her family in hopes of finding help for them as they try to heal.

"I just don't know what we're going to do," said Walker.  "But I guess God will provide for us, you know?"
