(WMC-TV) - The Christian Brothers football team is 6-2 this season, but the players are not the only ones on the field having fun.
The Little Purple Wave flag football players are ready for action, but their plays don't start until the ones on the field end.
They have traded in their pigskin for a water bottle.
"Everything about doing this, you just have fun," said 8-year-old Daniel Capocaccia.
The 6, 7 and 8-year-olds are at every Big Purple Wave game, home or away, fueling the players with water.
Capocaccia's father coaches the boys.
"They're getting a lot out of it," said John Capocaccia. "They're learning a lot about the atmosphere of high school athletics, and that's what it's all about."
