Suspect at large after robbing Cordova bank

(WMC-TV) - A suspect is still at large after robbing a Cordova bank late Friday morning.

Authorities said the robbery happened around 10:45 a.m. at the Regions Bank at 640 North Germantown Parkway.

According to police, a man entered the bank and presented a teller with a note. The man implied he had a gun, but it was never seen.

The man left the bank with an undetermined amount of cash. He was last seen driving west on Trinity driving a navy blue Chrysler van with drive-out tags.

"I used to work at a bank, so I'm not going to say I don't feel safe," said Ashley Pickens, a customer at the bank. "It can happen anywhere, so I hope no one got hurt and everyone is okay."

The suspect is described as a male Black, approximately 6'2", with thin build and dark complexion, wearing a tan windbreaker, baseball cap and possibly blue jeans.

After the robbery, customers were on alert.

"Just be on guard, and make sure you don't walk out with your money, flashing it," Pickens said. "Just be careful.
