(CNN) – A video game maker predicts its first annual loss in 30 years.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Nintendo lost $923-million in the first half of its fiscal year, ending September 30th.
This is twice the amount Nintendo had expected to lose.
Nintendo blames the poor figures on slow Wii sales and the global economy.
The console maker expects a better second half but still reportedly plans to be more than $250-million in the red when the fiscal year ends next March.
