NBA elite joining Rudy Gay's charity basketball game

(WMC-TV) - There is still no official word when the NBA season will start, but that is not stopping Memphis Grizzlies player Rudy Gay.

Gay announced Tuesday that he will host a charity basketball game at the DeSoto Civic Center on November 8 benefiting his Flight 22 Foundation for childhood education.

"Thirty dollars, it's a good price," said Gay.  "There's not a bad seat in the house.  It's cheap, it's going to be fun and it's going to be some of the best players playing."

The event got even bigger Friday when LeBron James took to Twitter confirming with Gay that he was "figuring out travel plans now!"

Also added to the roster were Chris Paul of the New Orleans Hornets and Carmelo Anthony of the New York Knicks.

Tickets are on sale now.  The game will tip off November 8 at 7:30 p.m. at the DeSoto Civic Center.
