Three killed in north Mississippi crash

(WMC-TV) - Three people were killed Monday morning in a traffic accident in north Mississippi.

According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, the accident happened just after 5:00 a.m. on Highway 72 near the Tippah/Alcorn County line. There, a tractor trailer collided with a pick-up truck.

Three people were killed in the crash. A fourth person was transported by helicopter to The MED in critical condition, authorities said.

Arnoldo Moreno, 29, of Corinth, as well as, Juan A Estrada, 35, of Nashville, and Jose P Garcia-Guillen, 35, of Decatur, Alabama, were all killed in the crash. They were pronounced dead on the scene. Raul Cabrera, 35, of Decatur, AL, was airlifted to the MED in Memphis with serious injuries.

Moreno and Estrada were both wearing seat belts, while Garcia-Gullen and Cabrera were both unbuckled.

The driver of the tractor trailer, Arnoldo Moreno, 29, of Corinth, suffered minor injuries.

The accident remains under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
