(WMC-TV) – Memphis Police are gathering clues in a Thanksgiving morning shooting that has sent a disabled man to the Med in critical condition.
Police were initially called to the 800 block of Par Avenue in Frayser for a report of a stabbing shortly before 1 o'clock Thursday morning.
When they arrived at the scene they discovered that a 39-year-old disabled man had been shot in the leg.
He was taken to the Med in critical condition. At this point investigators are not sure if the victim shot himself or if someone else shot him.
Police did interview two witnesses at the scene. Those two witnesses, a man and woman, were later arrested on outstanding warrants.
According to investigators, their arrests are not related to this shooting.
