(WMC-TV) - Germantown Police said burglary suspect Mickey Edwards of Bartlett may have learned a lot from Santa by keeping his own list this holiday season.
Police said they found a list on Edwards in an upscale neighborhood off Wolf River Boulevard after officers investigating a home burglary over the Thanksgiving weekend saw him drive by.
"And as he exited the vehicle, a list of potential targets fell into the street in the officer's view," said Captain Mike Griffus with Germantown Police.
Police said there were 15 addresses on the list and that two of the homes had already been burglarized.
"You know, it's unfortunate and scary for everyone," said neighbor Robin Roach.
She was among those hoping their addresses were not on the list, comprised police said of homes whose owners were out of town.
"Somebody has thought through it and made some plans," said Roach. "So, what it makes me realize is that I shouldn't have left my papers in the driveway while I was out of town."
We're told the officer recognized Edwards due to his multiple arrests over the years in Germantown.
"He's been arrested by us in '02, '06, and three times this year," said Captain Griffus.
Police said all of the arrests were for aggravated burglary.
"He serves his time, they let him out, and he goes back to what he knows," said Griffus.
Edwards is already out on bond for his most recent arrest. It's one police predict will not be his last.
According to court records, Mickey Edwards has a criminal history in Memphis as well. Our phone call to his home was not returned.
