(WMC-TV) - Thieves broke into a Memphis woman's house, but she lost more than just possessions. She also lost her pet.
Pictures of Sofi, a 7-year-old, 25 pound beagle, are posted on desperate flyers all over Cooper-Young. The dog went missing after her home was burglarized Wednesday.
"I'm very optimistic about it… trying to be," said Beth Lee, the beagle's owner.
Someone kicked in her back door Wednesday afternoon and stole her TV and her desktop computer.
"All of that is replaceable," Lee said. "That wasn't even on my mind and I haven't even processed that my home was broken into."
When the burglars got away, they left her front door open and before police got there, Sofi had already wandered off.
She hasn't been seen since.
"She's part of our family," Lee said. "You come home and no matter what kind of day you've had her little tag is wagging and she's happy to see you."
Sofi wears a red collar with a rabies tag, but not an identification tag.
"I just love her to pieces and just want her to come home," Lee said.
Lee said Sofi is playful, loving and never met a stranger. But now she hopes to meet a stranger who found Sofi.

"I'm hoping that some nice person found her," said Lee. "She gave them a little love and they gave her a lot of love and she was able to take shelter somewhere last night. And I hope that nice person is just trying to find us."
