(WMC-TV) - An overbooked schedule led to a fight that included one man getting hit in the face with a plate of chicken and a woman getting choked, according to police.
Investigators say Brandon Sanders was angry after his girlfriend scheduled a doctor's appointment on December 7, the same day he was supposed to go to a job interview. The woman told police Sanders was so angry he locked her out of their home in the 5100 block of Broken Oak for about 15 minutes.
When he let her back inside the home, the woman told officers Sanders was armed with a kitchen knife.
However, Sanders told investigators the fight started when the woman attacked him, pushing him and hitting him with a plate of chicken.
But Sanders also admitted to police, according to court records, that he choked the victim who was treated by EMT's at the scene.
Sanders was charged with aggravated assault.
