(AP) - The Southeastern Conference's All-Freshman Team includes an Arkansas tight end who died last month.
Officials announced Thursday that Garrett Uekman was named the team's honorary captain.
After a redshirt season in 2010, Uekman played in nine games this season. He died on Nov. 20.
Besides Uekman, defensive end Trey Flowers, cornerback Tevin Mitchel and wide receiver Marquel Wade were chosen as all-freshman performers.
Flowers has appeared in all 12 games this season, and has recorded 28 tackles and two pass breakups. Mitchel also has played in all 12 games this season, and is sixth on the team with 53 tackles.
Wade was selected as the team's return specialist, and is second in the SEC with an average of 265 yards per kickoff return.
