(WAFB-TV) - Authorities have released the name of the Tennessee man who dove into a Louisiana bayou to escape capture after running away during a traffic stop.
The Iberville Parish Sheriff's Office said the East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner's Office identified the man as Henry Neely, 23, of Memphis, TN.
His body was pulled from a bayou near Bayou Blue a week ago.
Deputies said he jumped into the water while running away after a traffic stop on I-10 on Dec. 6.
Detectives reported finding fake money and handguns inside the car.
They said Elesha Gunn of Houston, TX was driving the car.
She was booked into the parish prison on counterfeiting charges.
