Police say burglary suspect hit houses for sale

(WMC-TV) - A man was arrested for breaking into dozens of homes after a victim found his own stove for sale on Craigslist.

Plywood covered window damage at Patrick Halloran's house.  Among other items, the dryer and vanity mirror were stolen.

"Climbed through that way and then took everything out the front door," said Halloran.

Halloran's house is for sale.  Six other vacant houses up for sale were also burglarized.

"I'm furious," said Halloran.  "Now my alarm systems are on my telephone."

Paul Zanone flips houses for a living.  He lost appliances and staging furniture at one project.

"Sure, I'm a victim," said Zanone.  "I lost a lot of money."

After six months of searching, police arrested Anthony Bracey.  Investigators said Bracey found potential targets by searching internet real estate listings.

"I guess he likes my taste in furniture and stuff," said Halloran.

Police found some of the stolen items in use in Bracey's house.  The rest he sold.

"I'm going to have to dump a bunch more money in to fix the window that's broken, the holes in the wall, the appliances I've got to replace," said Halloran.

Police said they found a list of target addresses in Bracey's house.  Bond was set at $100,000.

Bracey is due in court Friday morning.
