(AP) - A study by Forbes Magazine ranks the University of Arkansas eighth and the University of Oklahoma 10th among the nation's most valuable college football teams.
The report released Thursday estimates the Razorbacks' program to be valued at $89 million, and Oklahoma's value at $87 million.
Forbes' college football rankings are based on the evaluation of the program's financial impact in revenue directed toward university programs and spending; football revenue used to support other athletic programs; distribution of bowl revenues among conference teams and the economic impact of visiting fans for home games.
Arkansas had the nation's largest percentage increase in value. The Razorbacks' value increased 59% this year, up from $56 million and a No. 17 ranking in 2009.
Texas is No. 1 with a value of $129 million.
