Oxford man faces weapons charges

(AP) - A February trial date has been set for a man accused of selling guns to a convicted felon.

Aswad J. Robinson is set for trial Feb. 7 in U.S. District Court in Oxford. He has pleaded not guilty.

The 23-year-old Robinson is already serving a state sentence for aggravated assault and cocaine possession in another case.

The indictment in the federal case said he sold an AK-47 assault rifle and a .357 caliber pistol in June 2010 to a man he knew was a convicted felon. The indictment only gave a first name and last initial for the buyer, described as Andrew J.
