MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) – A young girl's entire family was killed in a triple murder Thursday and police say her father is the man who pulled the trigger.

It's a tight knit South Memphis neighborhood, but Preston Street was closed by yellow crime scene tape all day after an entire family was killed during a shooting.

Ricky and Tricia Fischer and their daughter PaShea were shot dead inside their own home early Thursday morning.

The murders were the result of a fight between PaShea and her boyfriend Sedrick Clayton, according to police.

"This does seem to be a domestic situation," said Karen Rudolph, of the Memphis Police Department.

"During the argument, PaShea retreated to her parents' bedroom where the suspect followed and argument continued, during which three victims were shot," said Memphis Police Director Toney Armstrong.

According to Clayton's family, the couple started arguing in the bathroom.

"He said the daddy kicked the door in and kicked me in my chest," said the suspect's mother Lillian Harvey. "My son is small. He said when he fell to the floor they came at him all kind of ways. He said he emptied the gun."

"He said when he seen all them coming towards him he just pulled out the gun and sprayed," said Sedrick Clayton's sister Tawana Brown. "He said he sprayed his way out of there."

Clayton left the crime scene and took the couple's four-year-old daughter with him, according to police.

After four hours on the run, he turned himself in at the Raines Station precinct.

"There is a child here," said Lt. Col. Frank Garrett, of the MPD. "The child is fine."

While the little girl was unharmed, two families were left in shambles.

"They done already lost their folks," said Sid Clayton, the accused gunman's brother. "They lost momma and daddy and the baby lost the mother and she fixing to lose her father."

Clayton's family said he does not have a criminal history, but believe he may have abused PaShea.

"I like PaShea and them, and I was real close to them," said Brown.  "You know I hate it happened.  There wasn't nothing I could do about it."

Police said PaShea's adult brother was also in the house at the time, but did not get shot.

"And he said he told the brother Rico, he told Rico he was sorry for what he did and then he left," said Brown.

At this point, he has not been charged or booked into jail.
