Murder victim shot multiple times while hands bound

Quinton McKay's body was found Tuesday. Quinton McKay's body was found Tuesday.

(WMC-TV) – Mississippi investigators are looking for clues after they found a man who may have been killed execution style.

"They apparently killed him somewhere and took him down there and dumped his body," said Sharry Braziel, whose son Quinton McKay was found dead Tuesday.

Braziel's 32-year-old son lived in Tunica and worked as a chef at the Gold Strike Casino.

The married father of four's body was discovered in Bolivar County near Clarksdale around 6:30 in the morning in the middle of a dirt road. His hands were tied and he was shot five times, twice in the head.

His mother said me his body had been there all night.

"My baby was caught up in something that he had no idea about," Braziel said. "He died for somebody else."

McKay's family said he and his family had gotten threats and that he was made an example of, but they didn't want to be specific because they are afraid.

"They sent threats out," Braziel said. "If they couldn't get who they wanted they were going to kill him."

Braziel said her son was a wonderful person.

"He was joyous all the time," she said. "He thought everybody was his friend and I think this is how he got caught up in this because he trusted everybody."

McKay's murder is being investigated by Coahoma, Tunica and Bolivar Counties.

Neither suspects nor a motive have been named.
