(WMC-TV) - Ole Miss fans are divided over who to cheer for during the Super Bowl - Eli Manning with the New York Giants or BenJarvus Green-Ellis with the New England Patriots.

It's almost like a pre-Super Bowl party on the campus of Ole Miss as students celebrate in the Grove.

"As you can hear from the music in the background, the campus is ecstatic because it's like history in the making," said Jimmy Potepa, an Ole Miss student.

A recently unveiled billboard in Oxford states the obvious. Two "Super Rebels," Eli Manning and BenJarvus Greer-Ellis will battle it out in Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis.

Manning is an obvious favorite on the Ole Miss Campus. Many students said they're rooting for the New York Giants rather than the New England Patriots.

"Since I'm from Brooklyn, NY, I'm going for the Giants all the way," said Potepa.

"Everybody really roots for Eli," said Matthew Paul, also an Ole Miss student. "I mean the Manning's are a huge part of the campus."

Both players were born and raised in New Orleans and both ended up playing for Ole Miss.

Students say regardless of who takes home the Vince Lombardy trophy, they're proud to be a Rebel.

"This should be really good," said Paul. "Everybody is really fired up. I mean, it's the Super Bowl."
