Wando High School defensive standout Gimel President signed a national letter of intent to play for the Auburn Tigers next year.

President, a senior defensive end at Wando, made the decision to continue his education and football career at Auburn back in July. On Wednesday, he made it official at the USA Football Signing Day breakfast in Austin, Texas.

President, a 3-star rated defensive end fielded offers from South Carolina, North Carolina, Clemson, Oklahoma and many other BCS schools.

President is a 6'4", 250-pound headache for offensive tackles. He was a first-team All-Lowcountry selection last year. In that season he posted 72 tackles and had six sacks, as a junior.
