(WMC-TV) - Two women were arrested and another is on the run after police said they attacked a teen outside a Dyersburg club.

Police said 19-year-old Keith Shaw was attacked by three women outside the 901 Club.

"He had to have surgery on his heart, because they stabbed him in the heart," said family friend Linda Scruggs.

A witness said Shaw was arguing with three women in the parking lot outside the 901 Club.  Investigators said one of the women stabbed Shaw.  He got away from them, but fell down bleeding.

The Dyersburg High School graduate had to be airlifted to the MED after being stabbed at least seven times.

"That's devastating," said Scruggs.

Scruggs said Shaw almost died.

Police charged 25-year-old Vanessa Bernice Williams, who witnesses said had a knife, and 23-year-old Tierra Hayes with attempted first degree murder.

There is a warrant out for the third woman, 22-year-old Carnesha Joyner.  Investigators said the women live near each other in a public housing complex in Dyersburg.

Witnesses said they do not know why Shaw was stabbed or what the fight was about.
