NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Several troops with ties to Tennessee and Kentucky are among more than 70 invited to the White House for a dinner with President Barack Obama in recognition of the more than 1 million who served in the war.

Senior Master Sgt. Donnie Bolton, 40, of Jellico, Tenn., said getting the invitation in the mail was pretty "overwhelming" and called it a privilege to represent the Air Force and Tennessee at the dinner on Wednesday.

Senior Chief Petty Officer Chris Henderson, who lives in Hebron, Ky., serves as a Navy reservist and has done four deployments to Iraq. He said his family couldn't have gotten through the deployments without the support from friends and neighbors at home in Kentucky.
