Bath salt induced hallucination lands Tenn. man in jail

CHURCH HILL, Tenn. (AP) - A Hawkins County man was arrested after asking police if they could see the people who had broken into his home. No one there except for Ronald Wayne Sellers and the police.

Sheriff's deputies responded to a 911 call from Sellers, saying someone had broken into his home and was stealing from him. Deputy Josh Byrd's report said Sellers told officers the intruders were standing in the woods behind his house and asked if deputies couldn't see them.

Deputies said Sellers was unsteady on his feet and conceded he had taken bath salts prior to calling police on Friday, according to The Kingsport Times-News.

Although he was in his home, police arrested him on a public intoxication charge because they were concerned he was a danger to himself or others.
