(WMC-TV) - The wife and two children of a Yazoo County man found murdered late last year were arrested in connection with his death.

Dorothy Vance was led into the Yazoo County Sheriff's Department in handcuffs, now charged with capitol murder in her husband Arthur Vance's murder.

Arthur Vance, 60, was found lying in a creek in rural Yazoo County on New Year's Eve last year.  He died from blunt force trauma to the head.

"The investigation is still ongoing," said Tommy Irvine with the Yazoo County Sheriff's Office.  "We're not quite sure of just how it's going to turn out.  We're in the process of speaking with them all now, that's where we stand."

Also charged in Arthur Vance's death are his daughter, Nicole Vance, and his son, Andrew Vance.  Investigators would not say what the motive in the murder was.

"We're looking at two different scenarios," said Irvine.  "I don't want to comment.  We're just not sure of the exact motive."

The Vance's were arrested at their home on Pine Street in the Magnolia Heights neighborhood of Kearney Park, less than 10 miles from the crime scene.  Neighbors and relatives there were shocked.

"I just can't believe it," said neighbor Laverne Sessions.  "There's no way possible.  I can't see that this would happen, the type of person, the type of family they are."

Investigators said there could be more arrests in this case, likely more relatives.
