(WMC-TV) – With gas prices so high, many University of Memphis fans are looking for the cheapest way to make the trip to Ohio to see the Tigers play in the NCAA tournament.

The team's accomplishments are spelled out on T-shirts: from conference champs to March Madness and it seems like everybody's talking about the Tigers.

On the heels of an impressive winning streak, the blue-and-grey begins postseason play confidently. But the Tigers are still rankled over their 8-seed.

"We play our best when we get disrespected," said Will Barton.

But you don't need a chip on your shoulder to go with the team through March.

You just need a way to get to Columbus. It's about a ten hour drive, which, depending on the car you drive, may cost you a few hundred dollars in gas.

As in years past, Harold Byrd's Bartlett Travel has chartered a plane and is offering the only package deal around. You can get everything except tickets to the game for $1,200.

"On this plane, you'll be going with 150 other rabid Tiger fans who will be yelling and having fun," said Byrd. "We have transportation to and from the airport, to the hotel, and to the games."

Then again, you could just take in the Tigers on the tube and root for something to talk about next week, too.

Memphis plays St. Louis on Friday. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:50 p.m. Central time.
