Anonymous donor doubles reward in West Memphis 3 case to $200k

(WMC-TV) - A month after thousands of dollars were put up as a reward for finding the killer of three West Memphis boys, an anonymous donor has doubled the amount in hopes of finding those responsible.

Jessie Misskelley, Jason Baldwin and Damien Echols are known as the West Memphis Three.  They served 18 years in prison before a plea deal set them free last year.

Their main goal now is to be exonerated.

Last month, an anonymous donor put up a $100,000 reward to find who really killed the three 8-year-old boys, Stevie Branch, Christopher Byers and Michael Moore.

Now, a second donor has double the amount to $200,000.

New billboards will soon go up to let people know about the reward and to clear the names of the West Memphis Three.

If you have information that could lead to the arrest of the person who killed the three boys, call the confidential tip line at (501) 256-1775.
