(WMC-TV) - A string of North Mississippi burglaries could be solved early next week.

Thieves stole cash from a dozen businesses in Southaven and Horn Lake by breaking open doors and then cutting through walls to reach neighboring stores.

Southaven and Horn Lake detectives are in Tupelo interviewing suspects arrested Friday for similar crimes there believing they could be connected.

Tupelo Police arrested Clifton Mitchell, 53, Ricky Mitchell, 28, Clinton Cullin, 26, and Anthony Cordell, 23 in connection with similar burglaries on Friday.

During their arrest, authorities found thousands in cash and tools believed to be from the burglaries.

Southaven Police say they will likely take the case to a grand jury to seek an indictment for the earlier break-ins.

Similar crimes were also reported in Alabama, the Nashville area, and East Tennessee.

Investigators believe these traveling thieves could be connected to all of them.

So far the four suspects are only charged in Tupelo, but that could change.
