(WMC-TV) - A middle school student brought more than homework to school Thursday morning. Officials say she came to class with a bottle of lemonade that had been spiked with alcohol.

An ambulance was parked in the bus lane at Cordova Middle School Thursday morning.

It apparently stemmed from an incident that involved three students drinking from a bottle of lemonade that had vodka in it.

School officials did not release any names, but they say a girl who was having some troubles at home brought the bottle to school and shared it with two classmates.

Staff members at Cordova Middle aren't sure if the two classmates knew what they were drinking or not.

The good news is all three girls have been checked out and are feeling okay.

School officials say it's their protocol to call an ambulance if they suspect someone has ingested something such as alcohol.

The girl who brought the alcohol will be disciplined. However, school officials are not sure if there will be disciplinary action for the other two girls.

A school spokesman says they are now in the process of trying to work with the parents of the girl who brought the bottle to school.
