Memphis man arrested for making dozens of 911 calls, exposing himself

(WMC-TV) - Memphis police arrested a man after they said he purposely made non-emergency 911 calls to curse at dispatchers.

Tei Nguyen, 50, is accused of making 32 non-emergency 911 calls between midnight and 4:00 a.m. Thursday morning.

"That's way too much," said neighbor Jimmy Rogers.  "Shouldn't have done that at all."

Officers tracked Nguyen's call to an apartment building on Court Avenue in Midtown Memphis, where they heard him yelling and cursing.

According to an affidavit, Nguyen apologized to officers who also saw him "expose himself and begin to urinate."

Nguyen has repeatedly been arrested for making non-emergency 911 calls, which can cause serious problems for people trying to report legitimate emergencies.

Nguyen was still in jail Thursday night, despite his bond being just $100.
