JACKSON, Tenn. (AP) - A former Jackson police officer has pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court to conspiring to steal approximately $1,200 from a citizen.

Twenty-6-year-old David Dreblow of Jackson admitted Tuesday that while on duty, he conspired to steal the money while processing a crime scene Aug. 3, 2010.

He is to be sentenced July 5 and faces up to 10 years' imprisonment and a fine of up to $250,000.

Dreblow still faces charges in Madison County Circuit Court of tampering with evidence, official misconduct, theft of property and coercion of a witness.

He resigned from the police department March 23.
