(WMC-TV) - A second suspect was charged Saturday in the violent home invasion of a mother and her 10-year-old daughter.

Tarvoris Boyd, 18, is being held on a $500,000 bond on numerous charges, including attempted murder and aggravated assault.

Sandra Chacon, 35, and her daughter were inside a home with six others earlier this week when two armed strangers forced their way in and stole a small amount of cash.

Immediately after the suspects left, shots were fired into the front door of the home, striking Chacon and her daughter.

Police have already arrested 17-year-old Jarvis Boyd in the case.  Police said he may be Tarvoris Boyd's younger brother.
