(WMC-TV) - Two men could soon be facing new charges in additional Mud Island robberies.

Devaughn Edwards, 20, and Adrian Henderson, 21, are accused of a robbery that shut down all traffic in and out of the island earlier this week.

Investigators said detectives tracked the two men down via a stolen cell phone.

"There was an APB on the phone that the officers were working with the victim," said Col. A.C. Knight with the Memphis Police Department.  "It was the victim's set up he had on his phone."

Officers accused the pair of aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary, and aggravated kidnapping.  More charges could follow in connection with a crime spree on Mud Island that lasted two weeks.

"The subjects that were responsible for the home invasion and hopefully for the other robberies are now in custody," said Knight.

According to a witness from the home invasion, more suspects may have been involved in the crime.

"It's still ongoing because they were four subjects that were seen by the witness and only two arrested," said Knight.

Police maintain Mud Island is safe and even safer after these arrests.
