Police catch two men burglarizing home

(WMC-TV) – Two men are charged with aggravated battery for a burglary that happened in southeast Memphis.

A neighbor called police when they saw a suspicious car pulling into the garage next door. When officers arrived, the two suspects ran from the garage and took off in a blue Impala. As officers tried to catch up, one of the suspects jumped out of the car and fled on foot.

Police say the driver, 19-year-old Timmy Jamison, was arrested when the tire of the car went flat.

Inside the car, investigators found two televisions, an X-box, PlayStation, and coin jars. The victim confirmed these were all items stolen from his home.

Detectives learned the second suspect, Kavious Turner, was going to turn himself into police and admit to taking part in the crime.
