(WMC-TV) – The Memphis man accused of shooting and killing Ross C. Peden inside his pickup truck was found guilty of the crime.
Charles Pennington, 20, was convicted of first degree murder Thursday.
In June of 2010, Pennington and two others formed the plan to rob Peden. While they were trying to rob him, Pennington fought with Peden over a gun. Peden was shot in his truck during the struggle.
Pennington's conviction carries a life sentence with possibility of parole after 51 years. He will be sentenced on May 25, 2012.
The other two people involved, Jerome White and Demonique Harris, have been indicted and will be tried at a later date.
