Martha Stewart visits Mid-South to teach gardening class

(WMC-TV) - Media maven Martha Stewart brought her gardening tips to the Mid-South Saturday.

Fans started lining up before sunrise at the Home Depot in Collierville where Stewart held a gardening class.

"Pretty excited, 'cause I never get up early for anybody and I didn't even go to sleep last night so I wouldn't oversleep," said Linda Thornton as she waited in line.

About 300 people got step by step instruction on how to grow herbs.

Home Depot carries hundreds of products in the Martha Stewart Living line.

"I like to visit Home Depots across the country just to see the managers and associates, get them familiar with me and the products," said Stewart.  "We have lots and lots of products in the store."

Facing the end of her daily talk show this summer, Stewart is wasting no time returning to TV with a new cooking show that will debut this fall on PBS.
