(WMC-TV) – One person is under arrest and police are searching for another who they believe is responsible for the murder of 28-year-old Roderick Dennis.

Dennis, the father of a 10-month-old baby, was attacked by four strangers and killed Sunday morning.

The victim is described by family and friends as a fun-loving, easygoing, and laid back man.  WMC-TV spoke to his girlfriend, who said they had plans to attend a morning church service.

Dennis was just arriving to her apartment complex when he was attacked.  Police say one of those strangers was Mario Holloway, 32.

According to a police affidavit, witnesses saw the four men chasing Dennis throughout the apartment complex before he was shot.

The first officers on the scene found a car in the area matching the description of the suspect's vehicle.  When that car crashed, the four suspects jumped out and ran.

Holloway was found hiding in the area, with blood on his clothes.  He is under arrest and is being held without bond.

Police have not released a motive for the murder, but Dennis' girlfriend says he was not involved with drugs.  She believes he was the victim of a random robbery.

Investigators are still searching for one more person involved in the shooting.  They tell WMC-TV there were two high school aged teenagers involved.  They will likely not face murder charges in the case.
