(WMC-TV) - IRS criminal investigators spent Wednesday inside the headquarters of Mo' Money Taxes.
George Villhard, of the IRS Criminal Investigation Division, wouldn't explain why agents were inside the business and declined to say what they were searching for.
Markey Granberry, the owner of Mo' Money Taxes, said his company has been working with the IRS since problems arose earlier this year.
Granberry said he even invited agents to come into the headquarters because so many of his customers have yet to receive tax refund checks.
But when asked exactly what prompted their presence, IRS investigators shrugged off specifics.
In March, Rep. Steve Cohen asked the Department of Justice to investigate the company.
Wednesday, he released a statement saying he's confident investigators will discover any wrongdoing that may have occurred.
