Feds seek more information about Southaven mayor's spending

(WMC-TV) – Federal agents are asking for more of Southaven Mayor Greg Davis' spending records. This time, they are looking for details on Davis' campaign funding.

According to the Commercial Appeal, federal agents recently obtained copies of his campaign finance reports filed with the city.

They say it comes after what was reported last month, that the mayor had used those funds to buy a $30,000 car, undergo treatment at a stress clinic in Arizona, and even pay $75,000 on his personal credit card.

A recent audit found that Davis still owes thousands of dollars in debt on top of the $170,000 he owes the state for misusing city funds.

That misuse is under investigation by both the state of Mississippi and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
