911 call will be evidence in MTSU roommate murder trial

(WMC-TV) - Jury selection is underway in the trial of a woman accused of murdering a college basketball star.

Middle Tennessee State University student athlete Tina Stewart was found stabbed to death in her apartment. Her roommate, Shaterrica Madden is on trial for her murder.

The 911 call will be among the evidence presented to the jury during the trial.

KC Anuna, the victim's boyfriend, found her on her bedroom floor.

Anuna: "Hello! Please come to Hazelwood Apartments! Please!"

911 dispatcher: "What's going on?"

Anuna: "My girl's bleeding to death! Please!"

911 dispatcher: "You're at 1350 Hazelwood?"

Anuna: "Yeah, somebody cut her."

The tape reveals Anuna trying to keep Stewart alert and ends with him giving police a crucial piece of evidence.

He apparently came face-to-face with Shaterrica Madden when he arrived at the Raiders Ridge Apartments. According to court documents, she told him Tina was not home.

Jurors will also see police video of the apartment. In it, they will see the cell phone on the sofa and the missing knives in the kitchen.

The phone call and video will be key pieces in the murder trial.
