Bain sisters’ dad shares gratitude on Facebook

(WMC-TV)  On This Mother's Day, the Bain family is dealing with the death of mother Jo Ann Bain and her oldest daughter, 14-year-old Adrienne.

Thursday, authorities rescued 12-year-old Alexandria and 8-year-old Kyliyah Bain.  They also found Adam Mayes, the man suspected of abducting the girls and killing their mother.

The biological father of daughters Adrienne and Alexandria, Mark Johnson, is sharing his gratitude on Facebook.

"I wanna say thank you to everyone for the help and support to get the girl home.  And a special thanks to heaven's new angels Jo Ann and Adrienne.  We will always love and miss you," Johnson posted to his Facebook page.

According to authorities, Johnson signed over the fatherly rights to his daughters, Adrienne and Alexandria, to Jo Ann Bain's current husband Gary Bain more than one year ago.

Johnson has two other children besides Adriennne and Alexandria.  He even posted a picture on Facebook saying, "All 4 of these girls are mine."

Johnson also made comments on Facebook suggesting he plans to get an attorney to get his surviving daughter, Alexandria, back.

Johnson said in another Facebook message, "For everyone asking about Alex I don't know.  I have not seen nor talked to her.  I'm being told that it will be Sunday or Monday before I can."

We tried to reach Johnson to see if he's made contact with Alexandria, but he was not available for comment Sunday.

Johnson also posted a message saying, "Everyone watch what you put on Facebook because the news channels in Memphis are watching it."

A bank fund has been set up to assist the Bain family.  You can make a donation to the "Bain/Johnson Family Fund" at any Merchants & Farmers Bank Branch in Tennessee.
