Police locate vehicle involved in Cooper-Young hit-and-run

(WMC-TV) – Investigators located the SUV involved in a hit-and-run accident that injured two women in the Cooper-Young area. One of those women is still in intensive care at The MED.

A witness at the scene of the accident snapped a photo of the 2005 blue Ford Expedition that hit the women, and drove away.

Police now say they have found that vehicle, but charges have not yet been filed in the accident.

Shannon Parker remains in the ICU after witnesses say she pushed her friend out harm's way in front of Celtic Crossing on Cooper Avenue.

Parker suffered a fractured pelvis and an injured neck.

"I'm going to be 41 in July and I'm going to be in a wheelchair," Parker told Action News 5 from her hospital bed Wednesday.

She does not remember anything from that night. Parker is focusing on healing.
