(WMC-TV) – A man is dead and another man is behind bars after an argument about food escalated.

Police arrested Terrance Finnie, 46, after being called to a fight Sunday evening on Cane Meadow Circle.

An argument started between Finnie and the victim, Rickey Clemmons, and it quickly escalated into a physical fight.

Witnesses say the two were separated, but continued yelling at each other. Finnie reportedly pulled out a folding knife from his pocket and attacked Clemmons.

According to a police affidavit, Clemmons died because a major artery near his elbow was severed.

Once he was arrested, Finnie waved his rights and admitted to cutting Clemmons in a typed statement.

Clemmons was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Finnie is charged with voluntary manslaughter.
