(WMC-TV) - A suspect is set to face a judge for what police said he did after an 18-month-old girl was accidentally shot in the head.

Darius Williams will appear at the Criminal Justice Complex Thursday morning.  He is currently out of jail on a $25,000 bond.

Williams is charged with false reporting and tampering with evidence.

Meanwhile, Cortrious Moy continues to elude police.  He is charged with reckless endangerment.

Police said both men played a role in trying to hide evidence.

Investigators filed the charges after 18-month-old Cal'Vuna Reese was accidentally shot in the head and killed by her 2-year-old brother in April.

After the shooting, investigators said Williams took the gun that was used to a friend and lied to police about it.

Investigators said Williams told officers he thought the gun was still at the house after he took the young girl to the hospital.

Court records say Moy lived at the home where Reese was killed.

"I hate it because they was close to me and the mother is a beautiful person," said neighbor Vernita Burns.  "She takes time with them, sits in the grass with them."

Both Williams and Moy share criminal histories.  Both men have drug charges pending.  Moy is also facing a domestic assault charge.

If you have any information on where Moy might be, call Crime Stoppers at (901) 528-CASH.
